Chronicles of the Big Bend: A Photographic Memoir of Life on the Border by W. D. Smithers,

As a young teamster on a pack-mule train, Wilfred Dudley Smithers saw the Rio Grande's Big Bend for the first time in 1916, austin photography portrait and it captured his imagination forever. Julien Levy (1906-1981) was one of the most influential art dealers of the twentieth century.
